UX Research and Design Solutions

I'm Colleen Gaynor, the Human Computer Interaction and User Experience Specialist behind CGUX Designs. I have 15+ years of professional communications and design experience in the research and academic space. Currently, I work at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as a Research User Experience Specialist. My design solutions serve to empathetically meet the needs of end-users while also aligning with stakeholder and organizational goals. I am experienced at conducting both quantitative and qualitative research including but not limited to: semi-structured user interviews, comparative analysis, heuristic reviews, survey design, user workflows, prototyping, and user testing. I specialize in understanding the needs of biomedical researchers throughout the research data lifecycle and improving systems intended to promote FAIR data practices.  I am a trained graphic designer and illustrator with mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite and love making concepts come to life through creative collaboration. I have my MSIS in Human Computer Interaction and UX Design from Drexel University. While I have an extensive background in designing communications and applications for biomedical research, my skill set is adaptable to meet the needs of various organizations.
